Who We Are
Clean Energy Columbus is a local organization which strives to make Columbus, Georgia, the greenest city in the South. We endeavor to work with the city leaders and our fellow citizens to help create a more equitable and sustainable city.
Our diverse group includes educators, health care practitioners, business people, lawyers, professionals, members of the clergy, students, and others, all linked by a love of Columbus and a common goal to build a better city for future generations.
Our Work
Our Work
We work on moving ahead projects focused on sustainability. Our current project is the passing of a 100% renewable energy resolution in the City of Columbus. We are working with Deputy City Manager Lisa Goodwin to carry out this important initiative.
We also work to assist in educating on grant monies and opportunities for local sustainability projects.
With our partners, we have hosted and attended events to help raise awareness and contribute to the fight against climate change. With the first event we hosted completed in February 2023, we have participated in several other events and meetings to reach more people.
Our first appearance at Columbus, GA City Council. The resolution for 100% renewable energy by 2040 was presented.
